Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account: your email address, and the sign-in identifiers of any account you connect (such as an X handle).
- Profile: the information you add to your card — first name, photo, city, skills, your one-liner, sectors, stage, what you're seeking, and (for funders) firm, thesis, check size, and deploy signal.
- Activity: swipes, matches, messages you send, referrals, reports, and blocks.
- Device: a push-notification token if you enable notifications.
Identity verification (funders)
Funder identity checks are performed by Stripe Identity. Your ID document and selfie
go directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy — we never receive
or store your ID images. We store only Stripe's verification reference and a
pass/fail result.
How we use it
- To build your daily deck (matching uses your profile fields, city, and activity).
- To show your card to other members — your profile is visible to signed-in members by design.
- To deliver messages, matches, and the notifications you've enabled.
- To operate the referral program (we store a one-way hash of invitee emails, not the address).
- To keep the community safe (reports, blocks, enforcement).
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show your email, ID documents, or verification details to other members.
- We do not use your messages for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run CoFoundr: Supabase (database, authentication,
storage), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (identity verification), RevenueCat and the
Apple App Store / Google Play (subscriptions), and Expo (app infrastructure and push
delivery). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Deleting your account
Delete your account anytime in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). Your
profile, photo, swipes, matches, and messages are permanently removed, with residual
copies purged from backups within 30 days.
Age
CoFoundr is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from
anyone under 18.
